PPR - 5 pockets + Market Direction Model (MDM) note
GNC- Yet another continuation pocket pivot. We originally reported on GNC on its buyable gap up day of March 13, 2012. GNC is a specialty retailer in nutritional products. Overall rating 99.
PCLN- Continuation pocket pivot. Leading stock PCLN continues to lead in the current market environment. PCLN allows customers to bid on air travel, hotel rooms, and car rentals. Overall rating 99.
MA & V- Continuation pocket pivots. Credit card companies. Overall rating 98 for MA, 96 for V.
FOSL- Continuation pocket pivot. FOSL operates 398 retail stores as of 2011 with plans to open an additional 75 new stores in 2012. Its products include watches, belts, jewelry, handbags, and sunglasses. Institutional sponsorship has increased over last 5 quarters, earnings have accelerated, and overall rating 99.
MDM: We have logged six distribution days on the NASDAQ Composite over a 20 day rolling period. That said, the price/volume action of many leading stocks remains constructive. Since the model takes this into account, the model remains on a buy signal for now. Quantitative easing in all its forms seems to keep the market going, or at least prevents the market from having deeper corrections.
