MLR - PMP 8/29/14
Major averages fell yesterday on lower volume ahead of the Labor Day holiday weekend. Reports that Russian troops had entered Ukraine only resulted in minor selling pressure as the market has a tendency to become somewhat desensitized to any breaking news that follows the initial bad news, thus such breaking news can impact markets less. Premarket futures are currently trading higher.
High Crush Partners (HCLP) had a pocket pivot yesterday. HCLP makes monocrystalline sand that boosts recovery rates of hydrocarbons from oil and gas wells. Earnings and sales are strong, pretax margin 37.3%, ROE 48.8%, group rank 35.
