FAQs Frequently Asked Questions

Pocket Pivot Review / Buyable Gap Ups
Some of the pocket pivot reports show anticipation of a pocket pivot confirmation. What are guidelines when this technique may be more appropriate than waiting for the pocket pivot to be confirmed?
If the stock is resting on its 10-day or 50-day moving averages with selling volume drying up, one can anticipate a move up from this type of position, whether it turns out to be a pocket pivot or not. Buying into Volume Dry-ups (VDU or "voodoo" days as we like to call them) is something I like to do quite often, particularly with my aggressive style where I want to gain an advantage working a 100% to 150% sized position in my portfolio. Most of it comes from simply having a feel for the stock after watching it trade for a period of time - several days or weeks.
