A leading stock is one that is leading in terms of price strength relative to its peers and the general market, and also in terms of fundamentals such as earnings, sales, pretax margins, return on equity, industry group strength, market capitalization, institutional sponsorship and so forth. Thus, stocks such as BIDU, AAPL, and PCLN (as of September 2, 2011) would qualify.

 

The number of leading stocks we follow depends on the strength of the general market. It is a dynamic list that is constantly updated. If we produce a PPR report, the stock is usually considered a leading stock, or at least presents with a highly favorable risk/reward opportunity.
