Major averages fell yesterday on higher, but below average pre-holiday volume. Quiet, range-bound action is typical this time of year in the week before and after Dec 25. That said,
on some occasions, the market can correct a couple percent, but typically nothing substantial. Individual stocks, on the other hand, can make material moves in either direction so always keep your stops tight regardless.
In terms of strong long set-ups, were are not seeing much in the way of immediately actionable situations arise as we progress through the holiday season. This may remain the case as we move into year-end next week, so investors might consider keeping their powder dry.
