Major averages finished roughly flat to higher and near the top of their trading ranges yesterday on higher volume. Both GOOGL and AMZN are gapping higher after posting strong earnings. The question has been asked which one will make it to 1000 first? If we were base this purely on price momentum, AMZN would be the clear winner.
Focus List Update
The uptrend continues in most Focus List names such as NFLX, AMZN, CC, SQ, VEEV, and COHR. Chinese names BABA, MOMO, and JD have been strong while BZUN continues to work through its prior correction. Current we do not see any names we would consider to be in optimal buying areas.
