Major market averages rallied yesterday, but only slightly, with the Dow leading the pack with a tepid 0.11% rise. Volume was slightly higher than Tuesday's volume. Overall, the action was quiet, and the question is whether the market ends the year quietly or whether it has simply been "resting up" in anticipation of a more robust year-end move over the final two trading days of 2017.
Futures are up this morning.
Focus List Notes:
Caterpillar (CAT) posted its eighth straight up day and remains extended.
Facebook (FB) rallied back above it 176.60 low of December 12th after selling off on Tuesday in sympathy to AAPL. This is a second undercut & rally attempt through the same low but it stalled at the 20-dema on slightly higher volume.
