Chinese name Autohome (ATHM) posted a pocket pivot today on strong volume after reporting earnings. Note that Gil discussed a range of Chinese names that he felt were in position to get moving to the upside in his weekend VooDoo Video Report. These included names like WB, SINA, MOMO, STG, BIDU, TAL, and others. So for those of you complaining about "idea flow," Gil has had plenty of strong, but unorthodox ideas coming through in his VooDoo Video Reports. This is not a trending market, and orthodox set-ups have been less effective, while "Ugly Duckling" set-ups that qualify as content for the VooDoo Report have been more successful.
We note also that Square (SQ), which reported on as having a pocket pivot following earnings last week, moved above its 50-dma today on a five-day pocket pivot. Over the past week it has had three five-day or ten-day pocket pivots. It has been a mainstay of our Focus List as it has meandered about along with the general market over the past 3-4 months.
