Note that Ciena (CIEN) is expected to report earnings two days from today on Thursday before the open. If one is short the stock one may wish to bag a profit here ahead of earnings, or do so before the company reports on Thursday morning. We would not advocate holding a position through earnings unless a significant profit cushion exists, which in CIEN's case is debatable unless is breaks much lower from here.
